This new Boynton board book has cute, festive illustrations and text that can be read or sung, depending on the reader's inclination and confidence levels。 There are lots of different animal sounds throughout that kids will enjoy chiming in with。 I found this very charming, and although this doesn't have a surprising twist like some of Boynton's work, it can appeal to both kids and adults。 This new Boynton board book has cute, festive illustrations and text that can be read or sung, depending on the reader's inclination and confidence levels。 There are lots of different animal sounds throughout that kids will enjoy chiming in with。 I found this very charming, and although this doesn't have a surprising twist like some of Boynton's work, it can appeal to both kids and adults。 。。。more

Typical Boynton style, farm animals making their noise with a Christmas thinned story。 I even liked the chickens going bock, bock, bock and I don’t like chickens as animals。

MOO, BAA, FA LA LA LA LA! is a delightful Christmas board book that reinvents the song, Deck the Halls。 The story features different barnyard animals celebrating the holidays, including decorating a tree, decking the halls, and singing carols。 The book could be sung to the original song or just read aloud with plenty of animal sounds throughout。What I loved: This is quite cleverly written to the tune of Deck the Halls, but with all new words。 Only the final page uses the Fa la la la la ending, a MOO, BAA, FA LA LA LA LA! is a delightful Christmas board book that reinvents the song, Deck the Halls。 The story features different barnyard animals celebrating the holidays, including decorating a tree, decking the halls, and singing carols。 The book could be sung to the original song or just read aloud with plenty of animal sounds throughout。What I loved: This is quite cleverly written to the tune of Deck the Halls, but with all new words。 Only the final page uses the Fa la la la la ending, and the rest create something unique。 Each page features bright colors, adorable animals, and Christmas themes that will delight young readers。 The book remains non-religious throughout but captures the delight of the season well。While the first couple times, it may cause a few stumbles as caregivers sing to the theme, once they get it, it is quite a delight。 The clear font and board book format make this a fun one to sing aloud。Final verdict: A charming holiday read, MOO, BAA, FA LA LA LA LA! will delight young readers with the adorable animals, Christmas, theme, and bright colors。 Recommend singing along! Please note that I received an ARC。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more
